Aechmea Cylindrata "Blue Ice". Pale green strap-like leaves, spineless. Likes good light but not sun. If grown in sun it rarely flowers ! Uprirght flower-stalk about 20mm tall with a maroon hairy cone, intense lilac-blue flowers appear in between the cone hairs starting at base of cone and working towards the top, lasting 4-6 weeks.
Auction is for a bare-rooted pup taking 12-18 months to mature.
